A lavish 280-foot superyacht featuring a helipad, beach club, full spa, and gym has been listed for sale at €169 million (about $193 million). The vessel, now known as Gigia, was custom-built in 2017 by famed German shipbuilder Lürssen for billionaire energy magnate Igor Makarov.
Initially named Areti, after Makarov’s ARETI International Group, the yacht later changed hands and names—briefly known as Amatasia before the current owners, a California-based family, rebranded it Gigia, a family nickname. It now ranks in the top 5% of the world’s longest yachts.
The superyacht is currently listed with Christian Bakewell of Burgess Yachts, who highlights its rare features, including 10 cabins—two more than most yachts of its size—and compliance with the Passenger Yacht Code, allowing it to accommodate up to 20 guests and 28 crew members.
Among its standout amenities is a sprawling beach club with a sauna, cold plunge, massage suite, and direct access to the swim platform. There’s also a full-service spa, gym, and various outdoor lounges across five expansive decks. The interiors, styled by UK-based Winch Design, feature plush furnishings, rich wood paneling, and even a grand piano in the main lounge.
The owner’s deck includes a luxurious primary suite and two VIP cabins. Other details include a sundeck with a hot tub, alfresco dining areas, and dual Yachtwerf Meyer tenders—one limousine and one open design.
Gigia recently received a full repaint, with updates to carpeting and upholstery. The yacht sails under the Cayman Islands flag and remains one of the most refined examples of custom yacht design.
With its blend of size, luxury, and build pedigree, Gigia offers a rare chance to own a top-tier vessel designed for both relaxation and entertaining on the high seas.https://www.bizmartassets.com/1058/billionaires-193m-superyacht-gigia-hits-the-market-with-spa-gym-and-helipad/
